    Usually other parts underneath fail before the shock towers do. Things like rear shackles and spring hangers come to mind. Come to think of it, I've yet to hear of any shock towers needing replaced before the rear frame half needing replaced.

    You sure a simple wire wheel and paint job won't do the trick?? I don't recall any repair kits for that part of the frame being available. If that's gone, I'd worry about the rest of the truck as a whole...
