that's a good deal on the carhartt. i've had a "walls" jacket for a couple years now that is great for the cold, think it was $40 at Kmart.

that's much closer to where it should be! now start with little driving tweaks, mabe find a used tonneau cover cheap. have you ever heard of the dual ignition mod? supposidly nets you a little bit more power and a MPG or two, for free. only works for the older 2.3's and 2.5's.

lol that's what i said at first, but the truck is beautifull, and with the tune, CAI, and single stack it's wicked too. it dosin't have any of the usuall 6.0 problems yet, and he bought an EGR delete kit along with other "preventative" bits to install before they do cause issues. plus he's a 6.0...

i need to get a pic of my neighbors '03 6.0 F350 for you for insparation, his truck is also a white, ext cab shortbed 4x4. no running boards, big firestone destination M/T's, a westin stainless bull bar, factory tow mirrors, it's clean as hell!

i feel the same way, lol. on the plus side though i've got an '00 with the massive, 3 inch longer cab, allowing 2 whole clicks farther back for the seat. and i need every one of 'em! lol.

keep the husky tools, i've had mine about 7 years and never had one break... except the phillips head screwdrivers, which i think they re-designed. you can never have enough tools with you!

out of curiosity, does you're truck have the 60/40 bench seats or does it have the vinyl solid bench seat? a pair of factory cloth ranger bucket seats from a '98+ with the lumbar support make one helluva differance on long road trips!

try divideing the # of miles driven by how many gallons it takes to fill the truck up, see if you get a similar MPG number. you're gas guage could be off...
