Well, it could be you have multiple air bubbles in the line, so keep going until the pedal stiffens up. If it becomes slack again, after all the air's been bled out, you've got a leaky somewhere in your line. ...also, I found these on YouTube. May help with the bleed out.....

Does continued bleeding seem to help? Does the tranny seem to shift ok (or better, anyway) after bleeding, but then becomes harder to shift later on?

Sounds like you need to bleed the system. Have you tried that already?
