What all above had said. Also, check your brake fluid level....some Ford's light up the parking brake light when the brake fluid in the reservoir is low.

NONE! It's a Ranger...it's short! lol. But If I had to choose, black. There isn't enough chrome to justify chrome steps. They'd look out of place and I'm all about an overall clean look. Now if you had a chrome front and rear bumper, that would change my opinion.

Could this be related to the already broken clutch/brake pedal bracket/pivot? I've never heard of the quick connect popping off the slave. The only thing I imagine that could cause it is improper installation, which is very hard to do.
