Update: Got me a programer, Superchips Flashpack, and i love it i can tell an obvious difference in the power. My favorite mod that i have done so far.

i have recently came into some extra money and im gonna spend it on my ranger. i was wondering if you all have found better luck out of a chip or a programer? and what do you all recomend brand wise? thanks

very true my last truck was a v8 f150 and i just miss the power and would like to gain a little power

i thought about a throtle body spacer since its only the less exp. side but wasnt sure

i got a 99 Ranger 4x4 with the gutless 3.0, wanted to know what is a good performance part i can do to pull some more power out of it.thanks

i had the same problem with mine, the chripping was coming from the tensioner itself not the pully....you have to change out the hole assembly, not just the pully.
