    List Your Mods

I'm thinking of running boards with lights on them, an aluminum cap with bubble windows and some big mud flaps for my 2wd, maybe some bumper light sticks as well and a flat bug deflector with the chrome around the edge. JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw, the 35's look awesome on stock...

    Anyone done this yet?

I've personally never seen it done but I would make sure to save the 150 mounts and simply mock up (hopefully you have a welder) mounts from the Ranger frame to set the motor on. I would also use the stock manifolds as they worked well in the 150 and should work just fine in a Ranger. The only...

    Overheated -now won't start

Did you check your oil? If it's gray, you have much bigger problems. Also, you might want to check to make sure your timing belt is still there... Just a couple of ideas.

be extremely careful if you're going to jack on that balancer.......I would sooner put a board under the oil pan and jack on that...

    no converter

sounds about right, I also have a '97 5 speed with the horsepower monger 2.3 and that's about what I get, although "city" around here has a slightly different meaning....My check engine light and airbag light have been on since I've owned it and Jimmy cracked corn (I don't care)..:D

    Lifted Ranger

I'm going to take a wild guess that the air bags get deflated before driving as the shocks look like they're wayyyyyy over extended. And if it's a bowtie I hope he has another one to smash them into one another. I'm so sick of hearing "built Ford tough with C---y stuff".

    Occasional Engine Stumble

Wow, change the wires already! They are a royal pain to change but that is more than likely the culprit. Pull the truck into a dark space and let it run and lift the hood and I can almost bet you'll see cute little lightning bolts all over the place.

    Newbe Here

I'm not a big fan of the rear anti-locks, had a '94 and even from brand new it would lock up and slide in the rain at stop signs. As another said, check for a loose wire as I think the sensors are hooked into the rear if I'm not mistaken, I know the device is on the side of the ring gear so...

    Occasional Engine Stumble

Welcome, and I would guess fuel delivery or spark as the first culprits, then I would possibly consider the cat. converter.

I'm WesternPaStepside over yonder and if I didn't drive 60 miles round trip a day to work I would buy my dad's flareside but alas, the Ranger is getting me to and from work on $25 a week!! I really like this forum, already instant hello's and one from another country!! My latest Ranger is a...

    Largest Thing you've towed

Have to scan in the pics if I can find them but we towed our race car (3200 lbs. dry) on a full deck 16' tandem alxe trailer with a full tire rack and tool box on the trailer with a bed full of spare parts every weekend with a 92 4.0 STX with absolutely no problems at all. I even think it was...
