Topend's completely rebuilt with aftermarket heads, port/polish, etc. I would like to cam it but probably not gonna happen. Ran outa money for the pushrods when building it, but they werent too bad...It'll definitely boost low end torque after they're changed though.
Whips out his 2.9 liter,.....and has engine envy.....but damn it it works great.....just not as impressive in the locker room.....
same here man i love the 4.0 The ranger is my first truck we ve always had fords but i think im hooked if i had to buy a new truck today it would be another 4x4 4.0 ranger ITS THE BEST TRUCK ON THE ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My 2002 is the first Ranger I`ve owned and I think the 4.0 is great for power and gas mileage . It`s like new with only 35,950 miles on it . I like the MPG I took it for a 125 mile hiway run used 6 gal of gas,,cruized at 65 mph with the ac running part of the time and got 20.8 mpg .I was impressed.
