Never heard of a "compact HID bulb".. Maybe that means by getting a one size smaller bulb for the lights?

ok i dont know jack about HIDs so lemme make sure i got this straight. the 55w BiXenons are the brightest ones and they still have a high beam function correct? can i assume everything works off standard headlight switches and everything?
I have a 96 ranger, and can not stand to switch on my bright lights at night, so I would like a price on the xenon kit. I currently have HID kit now, with the 8000k bulbs and ballast. Would the new bulbs work with the ballast I have installed now or would I have to buy a new complete kit?
Pictures please of units pre-install and installed ? A How-To on what is needed to install ? Are these fill headlight assemblies with the parking lights as one unit ?
I just received one of these alt brackets, very nice, ill be back for pulleys and power steering bracket when I have the funding
