    I've had trouble getting my "new" 2011 Ranger out of Park several times, until I finally realized that I have to substantially press the brake pedal to activate the interlock. This is more extreme than any of my other vehicles - is this normal for my Ranger?

    Thanks. I've been in the habit of "touching" the brake pedal and shifting out of Park at the same time. Guess I'll have to adjust that habit:

    1. Press brake pedal substantially.
    2. THEN think about reaching for the shift handle!

    :yes::eek::yes:

    The Ranger is my first Ford in over 20 years, and my first truck EVER! I've had to make several adjustments owning a truck, so what's one more?! LOL
