think i would go chrome if i went back to step bars. actually i would spend a little more for stainless bars, they don't rot out as bad as chromed ones can. it would match you're wheels & toolbox nicely. the only black step bars i like on a ranger are the factory oval ones, which from what i understand are tough to find for a regular cab.
NONE! It's a Ranger...it's short! lol. But If I had to choose, black. There isn't enough chrome to justify chrome steps. They'd look out of place and I'm all about an overall clean look. Now if you had a chrome front and rear bumper, that would change my opinion.
Additional Comment… lol First leave it alone for a while and see if you like what you have, doesn’t cost anything. AND The all RED EDGE looks good with black added, I know your poll turned up CHROME but this is your truck, think about it then do it. Black Grille, black headlights, even a strip of black on the hood.
Funny how a poll will go, there are at least four people since you started that say Black if you run side steps and a couple that say NONE !
