heard you can swap in 87-96 f150 2wd for 2.5" Im assuming others work, thinking an explorer might gain some lift Has anyone else done this to a 2wd? looking for direct swap with little side effects (tires looking like \ /, etc.) Any advice is appreciated.

expo is the same front end as a ranger, so it won't give you any lift. get an alignment after you're done and you should be set.
iwould wrangler springs fit with slight modification? Those would give me a smoother ride than the stiff f150 springs.
F150 coils fit with SOME modifications since they are bigger in diameter. Explorer spring wont give you any lift. 4x4 coils are actually shorter than 2wd coils, but stiffer.
How much modification for f150? more than Jeep? are Jeep springs too soft or could they give me some lift?
get these theyre meant for a ranger and will level out your front end. http://www.topguncustomz.com/p-4312-15-83-97-ford-ranger-2wd-leveling-lift-kit-coils.aspx
There's a set of brand new RC leveling coils on their scratch and dent section for $60.00 for 2wd or 4wd. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1983-97-FOR...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item51a034d659
They'll be too stiff for you I believe but so will the F150 coils. And for the price, you might as well try them. You could resell them for more than that.
ok. The springs I have now are stiff anyway. will the 6 cyl springs be a lot stiffer or just enough to notice?
