That's a pretty good looking truck. I think with Gas prices being so high that Ford will still need a smaller pickup. I think the Ranger or F100 will be around for a while.
They were, before the gas prices got so high. Now there is more of a market for more fuel efficient trucks. It may be rebranded F100 someday though.
Here's what is written about in wiki... "Contrary to rumors of its demise, MotorTrend confirms that "Ford is working on two new, smaller-than-F-150 pickup trucks, one based on the F-Series and the other a replacement for the aged Ranger compact, which is unchanged, save for facelifts, since the 1998 model year. The smaller F-150 is codenamed P525 and may be badged F-100, the name of Ford's lightest duty pickups until 1982. At one point, P525 and the Ranger replacement were competing proposals, but with growing need for higher-fuel-mileage trucks, both projects will become reality in 2010 or 2011."
Thats good to know thank you! When i was working for Ford for sometime there was always that rumor that rangers were going to be axed, and a larger replacement would emerge in the future....but we never saw any concepts of that
I really have no clue, but I would LOVE to see a redesign, and add a 4-door version to compete with Canyon/Colorado/Tacoma without giving up too many mpg's. Obviously, we know where my loyalty lies, 'cause I'm posting here! I believe Ford offers that truck in foreign markets, like Australia, already..........

With the Ranger bein as popular as it is I honestly don't know why they would even consider not making it anymore. I've been a member of RangerPowerSports.com since 2001 & there have been the same rumors floatin around for a loooooong time now. The picture of the truck you posted looks way too much like a Nissan.
I agree. I like the front end shot, but from that one particular angle it has Frontier written aaaaalllll over it.
Looks like the guy who designs the lower bumper moulding for the fog lights forgot to actually look at the fog lights to see how big they were. Also the swooping lines of the lights do NOT match the blocked off front grille.
Well, this is the European model and I'm sure our version will be a little different. Notice the same lights and grill but a better overall look. This might be closer.
I'm sure there's some sort of redesign comin up. Hell it's went basically unchanged since 2000. I just hope for my sanity it's not any of the pictures that have been floatin around the internet rumor mill of all the european garbage
That's better than the baby-blue up top.... I kind of like it. Have to see them on the road though before I make final judgement.
I agree with you, it does look a lot like a Nissan. In fact when I saw the picture I blew it up to make sure it was a Ranger, which it is.
