I have a 1983 2.3L Ranger. 68K miles. stock tires. What's involved in swapping my 4 speed manual to a 5 speed? Have any of you guys done this swap, and is it even feasable? Seajack NW Wa.

back about 10 years ago i tried this... and had some trouble.. i do remember there was a proble with the mount... i dont remember what all was different.. but i worked on it for about 2 weeksn laying in the snow.. and end up just selling it.. ...
Bob- thanks for the reply. I'll pull the engine and tranny together and see what the differences are and see if I can figure out how to do it. Thanks again. Seajack Concrete, Wa.
im almost positive if you look at the mounts you will see the diff... but you could make one of those work pretty easy... we had another problem with the shifter...but anything is possible.... its just how bad you want it ... Keep us posted man
