I have a 2003 2wd I want to get a body lift. Is it worth it? I don't want to fork out too much money. I understand the kits are around 200. Im hoping my sisters boyfriend will help install it. But my only thing is I have new shocks and I don't want to get new ones. Also can I keep my 15x7 rims on 265/75/15 gfg at tires. I know ill need tireswith the lift. What r ur thoughts? Thanks.

you more than likely will be able to keep the shocks with a body lift.. i'm almost completely certain that you wont need new shock cuz all a body lift does is lift the body off the frame to allow for bigger tires and a difference in look.... and you dont necessarily need to go buy new tires after you install a body lift. most ppl do to fill out the wheel wells more but it is possible to run the tire package you have now until you need new tires again and then you can step up in tire size if that's what you wanna do...
You definitely will NOT need new shocks. lol Your suspension is not affected at all by a body lift. I have one, it's more than worth it. I love it. As for the tires, I'm running 31x10.50, soon to be upgrading to 313x12.50s... You can keep your tires you have now. Check out my photo albums under my profile, I should have a few pics of the side there with my 31s on.
It's a 2wd... I would stay with 31s.. Or else your Gunna rubb like hell. My buddy has a 1998 2wd with 31s and a 2 inch suspension lift... Il see if I can get pics
You can do the BL, the shocks dont have to be changed. You can keep your stock tires on as well, the may appear a little small but once you are ready for new tires do the 31's or 32's to make it look proportionate
I have 31s right now, and they look fine. This is the best pic I could find at the moment... 31x10.50R15 Pro Comp All Terrains. I think you'll look good rocking a set of 31s
you shouldnt rub with 31's and a 3" BL.... there are several ppl here that have 31's wiht only a leveling kit and they only rub on sharp turns....
