My 2001 Ranger 2.3 4Cylinder had the check engine light on so i hooked it up to the OBD II Scanner and got a
"intake manifold runner stuck open" code.
    My questions are:
    1. What exactly is the runner?unsure:
    2. How do I get it "un"-stuck?;)

My 4.2L in my F150 has them, best I have been told, under higher power applications they open to provide more air into the system. Like another barrel on a carb. My V-6 has two actuators at the back of the intake to control the runner valves. Would assume the I4 would be similiar, look for something attached at rear or front of intake.
