Odometer Mine is the same. Im interested to find out why also. Speedometer works fine but the odometer will intermittently work, then quit working all together...
I think, I may have gotten it fixed. A buddy of mine told me to take the whole instument cluster out and open it up, then take a small object (i used a paperclip to move the trip meter and the odometer to see if they would move, I did this and blew in and blew out some dust and junk. Put is back in and pressed the trip button a few times and it is working again for now. Hope this helps
if it does it again, it could be your speed sensor going bad. they are like $20 from Auto Zone or Advanced Auto. its located on the passenger side of the transmission underneath your truck
Ok it stopped working again. I found the speed sensor on the back of the tansmission/tranfer case pulled out and put it back in. Still the same, odometer not working but speedometer is. I am confused can it still be the sensor on the transmission not working or should I lean more to digging the instument panel out of the dash again. Thanks
