I have not but I'm pretty sure I can. That is true but you can always get the clear aftermarket lenses and do it that way.

Never heard of a "compact HID bulb".. Maybe that means by getting a one size smaller bulb for the lights?

I do not think HIDs will be safe to use in those headlights due to the small "cheaply made" projector bowls. I have heard people with types of headlights like that for other types of vehicles trying to use HIDs and it would eventually melt the bowls on the inside. Even with 35w, it could...

Once you get the headlights back, all you need to do is wire up the HIDs and the relay harness. If you ever installed a Bi xenon HID kit, it's just like this. Customers who wants halos in the headlights, all you need to do is wire the positive and negative wire to any 12v source and then ground...

If they can be taken apart using the oven, I can retrofit them. PM being sent right now. I can get you HIDs if you want (please go to my other thread here: http://www.rangerforum.net/f40/brand-new-hid-kits-any-bulb-size-any-color-2532/). I haven't done a retrofit in the fogs yet but I can.
