    body lift

I myself have had no experience in the body lift sector. I have heard from others that put them are greatly pleased when it is installed but the installation of the lift is quite a booger. However here is a great site that goes over all of the bugs that you may encounter while putting the body...

Low voltage to the EGR ??

To my knowledge, no. When the check engine light came on in my truck I hooked up a programmer for the same year F-250 as my truck ( unfortunately you can't tune the Ranger with it...darn), and the programmer gave me a certain code. When I looked at the code definitions in the back of the book it...

Low voltage to the EGR ??

Here's the best pics I could get man. As you can see there is an electrical current being sent to the sensor that goes to the EGR. First one is just a shot of the EGR and the sensor. The second is of the top of the sensor. The third is a side view of the sensor. You can see the...

Low voltage to the EGR ??

I will snap a pic of it in the morning and post the picture asap i.e. tomorrow afternoon when I get off of work. However to my knowledge if my memory was correct the part was around $40. Ha I know what ya mean though. All those dang electronics and sensors get on my nerves. It's not like the...

Low voltage to the EGR ??

That sounds weird, but I had EGR problems a while back and my problem was that there is actually another sensor that goes with the EGR to make it work correctly. It is located off the EGR about 4" below it on the tube that runs to the EGR. That may be the issue cause it fixed mine right up...

    bigger tires

The bolt pattern he is talking about is 5x4.5. That's the same for like all Rangers and most jeeps. Also to reiterate the fact, you can fit 31's just fine with the leveling kit. You will need a bigger lift or cut the fenders if you want to the keep the leveling kit to fit 32's. Check this link...

    Which Plugs?

Hmm that's a good question. When I replaced mine a while back I did not change the wires. Of course I wasn't having the same issues you were experiencing. Wires can get expensive sometimes. Did those autolites recommend a set of cables to go with them? It's your choice to replace or not. My...

    Which Plugs?

MSD! Haha, but autolite makes great plugs. We put those in all our muscle cars except the one that has MSD distributor, etc. But I have found that motorcraft do just fine for me. I changed my plugs almost 50,000 miles back now. So I'll be in for a change soon when the old Ranger hits a 100,000.

    Firestone Destination M/T

Alright here we go. So these tires are getting excellent ratings all across the board except for the road noise category where they don't score as well as an A/T ,but they score quite a bit better than any other mud terrains I have looked at. So in questioning, does anybody have any experience...

    Do i need both Cats?

Taking off any of the cats, or exhaust manifolds (to be replaced with headers) will cause your check engine light to come on. The manifolds and cats were tuned to your vehicle's engine at the factory. So when messing with the exhaust system in anyway before the cats, will cause the light to come...

    2003 FX4 running 265 75 16

I am running the same size also. I have a set of Sport King A/T's on mine. Handle amazing in all this winter weather we've been having ha in TN. But they wear very well and look good too. Next set of tires for me are Firestone Destination M/T's. They look sweeet, sound amazing, and are quite...

    09' Ranger 6speed?

I'm pretty sure they only come with a 5spd man. I think the only thing Ford offers with a six speed is like the GT40, high end mustangs, and the super duties. You may want to check the Ford website or a dealer near you to see if a 6spd is available in the Ranger but I doubt it.

    Change ratio's..?

Since He's got 99 4X4 prob with a 4.0 or 3.0 he probably has 3.73 gears. Here is the only problem with changing the gear ratio, a loss of power. If you never pull anything or go fourwheeling a lot and you just want mpgs for the highway, changing the ratio would be good for you.

    4 wheel drive not working

Alright cool man. I hope the fuse was the only issue! A much easier and low cost fix. Let us know what ya find out from the other guy.

    Bed Mats

Welcome! Hope it helps, and post some pics when ya get a new one. Those mats help so much to keep crap from sliding around, especially tools.
