I have an 89 Bronco ll XLT with the 2.9 L V-6 and I am looking to eek out some more power with out a V-8 engine replacement.
it has been suggested I install ECM chip
also suggested is a rocker arm replacement from the 1.5 ratio to 1.8
also I have the exhaust is old and mostly shot, when I replace it do I move to away from the stock exhaust manifold and do headers? which I find need to be custom built.
She's got a 4 Speed Overdrive transmission. Recently rebuilt and new clutch. The heads were off 70K miles ago and the lower end was in perfect shape and it runs smooth, just gutless, stock.
