hey, I have a 2007 4.0 with independent suspension, It has 3.73 gears and I want to put 4.56, I don't know if that is a good choice seeing as its independent suspension and the 5r55e transmission is not exactly a heavy duty transmission, might damage it in serious off road, and answers can help.

check u-joint, I had that same clunk in my 2007 but it was the diff, I had to rebuild.
