the small end that says panic is the end that enters the dash to start, you cannot use a conventional key to start it, the convention key is used to open the doors and tailgate. See that black slider part near the key ring. You slide that and the conventional key comes out

no power button. I don't think any ram has a power button, just the Key fob being put into the dash as demonstred above (near the right of the steering wheel) can start the vehicle. Lol its almost like a USB key . But those keys are hella expensive to replace.
I'll try to get the pics up before tomorrow's shift, too bad the truck is stupidly dirty. All the snow is melting so the truck is two tone now white and brown lol
lol I believe Dodge is the only one that uses this system of key, but aston martin does use something similar. Aston Martin Db9 key.^
with our prius we have the fob too but we do not have to insert in in the dash , just have in your pocket or purse, there is a switch you can press so that a valet has to insert the fob into the dash then press the power button. to start the car. same as with unlocking the doors just have it in your pocket and touch the door handle and the doors unlock. I like that a lot
That is a very nice feature a feature I like about the ram is when you open the doors or unlock them the Dome lights, the lights in the mirrors and the cargo light come on to illuminate the area.
Thank you I like it a lot, I really appreciate the comfort, driving position and ride (Not having leaf springs is heavenly) and the ease of the power. Its a lot more quiet then the ranger. I miss my ranger a lot though, I miss the steering feel, the manual transmission, and the small stature the ranger gave me.
