I found a truck I have always wanted on eBay. 2 of them actually! Its called a Nitemare. For all of you who dont know what a Nitemare is, its a faster, newer version of a Lightning and is made by Roush. I looked up how much I owe on my Ranger and I will actually come out on top by $2000 so the truck will actually cost $20,000 before negotiation. The only downside to it is there is no such thing as a 4x4 Nitemare... I live far enough north that we get about 2 good snows a year and my other car is an El Camino... Not good snow vehicles  But I will have over double the hp and torque of my Ranger  Whatdya guys think?

Judging by the title of your post you were seeking advice regarding whether to trade the Ranger in toward the Nightmare or keep it as a snow vehicle. If you can afford to you should keep it, I live out in a very rural area where the snow covers the primitive roads with deep drifts. We bought a 4x4 our first Winter out here (76-77) and have usually had one around, sometimes two. I had a long commute, and my employer didn't want to hear any "snowed in jazz". Since retirement I tried to economize by making do with my small front wheel drive cars......to heck with that, last Winter about drove me nuts, deep snow and serious struggles getting around........thus back into four wheeling via Ranger.

  7. Trade it man. I saw one on youtube and it's badass. And my dad made out fine with a 1992 Dodge Dakota 2x4. He just threw bricks in the bed when the snow came.

Yes it is lol. Both trucks have aftermarket, chrome rims and one has a blacked out grill. I would LOVE to have a "sport" truck (other than a Ranger sport hehe). But the only fast 4x4 truck currently made is the Raptor... which with 30,000 miles still cost 30,000 dollars.

I had a 2010 Mustang last year. Saying it did terrible in the snow is a huge understatement. We had like 6 inches of snow. No big deal. But then the next day the wind picked up and drifted it. I woke up at 6 in the morning to go to college and figured what the heck. I made the first tracks in some 10+ inch drifts in a Mustang. Didnt get stuck, didnt slow down lol. Soon after I bought my Ranger for obvious reasons. Ill prolly keep it til after winter since its basically here then look into one of these Nitemares and possibly getting some junker with 4 wheel drive to putt around in when the snow hits
