Hey all. Usually my Ranger runs about 3,000 rpm at 65 mph, but sometimes its about 100 rpm less, sometimes 100 rpm more. Same goes for just about all other speeds and other gears-I was wondering what the deal with this is and if anyone else is experiencing this issue. It seems to gear itself down a bit when its not warmed up.

Your issue could be it has a different programming (probably not the right word, but I cant think of what it should be) it runs off of when cold, causing the engine to run at higher rpms..
