Edge Bumper Mod

I have a 1999 Ranger XLT 4x4 4.0L. I currently have the chrome bumper and want to upgrade to the edge bumper with the fog lights. Has anyone tried this?

Yes you can swap them out. Check out LMCtruck.com and take a look at the lower valances and the bumpers to put on. Also Pm member FoMoCo, I believe he did a bumper swap

Wondering if the bumper from 01 to 05 will bolt up to my 99?? LMC had no tech support on this. GRRR!!

 

Yes it will, may have to adjust some brackets but I think it will be an easy swap

I guess all I really want to do is have the round fog lights vs the rectangle. I saw an fx4 ranger today with upper bumper chrome and colored valance with roundys. I liked it but I do not wanna swap this thing out with lots of trouble and modifications. If I had the parts lying around I would try it, but unfortunately I will have to order. Anybody know for sure if the 2001 - 2003 EDGE or FX4 bumper will fit easily?

 

Wanna swap valences? I believe that would be a simple swap as well

 

If I could change just the valance for now, I would be happy. Roundy fogs is what I am after. I like yours!!

 

I'll swap valances and fogs with ya, you just have to repaint it

 

This is pretty much my style, except mine is white. Same front end. Mine has no fogs right now. Plain Jane!!

 

Oh...well ****, I thought you had an 04 bumper already! I got confused! A front bumper like mine will fit your truck though

 

So an 01 XLT will be a direct swap? Bumper and valance, of course.

That is definitely what I am after. Thought the Edge was the only one with your type bumber and valance.

 

Nope, XLT's have them. Check ebay for them, you can get them at a good deal there

That works, I believe the square fog version came on 04+ edges
