Alt upgrade 95amp to 180amp

I got a local shop to. Build me a new alt.
Explorer 130a housing with upgraded insides..... swapped right out and runs flawlessly....
Oh ....... it only cost me 133 and some change with NO core charge....
 
Why high amperage? Have high amperage stereo or lots of electronics charging? Most of the time the vehicle require higher amperage if you add off road lights or winch.
