My buddy has a 97 ranger with a 4 cylinder 2.3L and manual transmission. modded with a body drop and full air ride but was running perfectly fine until after we painted it. The battery has also been moved to the bed. Here's what we've replaced and checked -SEVEN (7) Alternators (ALL new and we watched this one be tested it runs 13.7-16.3) -ECU TWICE -Solenoid next to the fuse box on the drivers side fender -Wires from the alt to the fuse box AND from the alt to the solenoid -Battery TWICE (both tested both brand new and good) -Air ride is hooked up properly, had 3 other's who have installed it before check it as well. -All grounds have been checked AND cleaned -Both battery cables have been check and are not broken and have been cleaned -Checked all the fused in the dash fuse box when at idle it sit's about quarter way. we can turn the compressors on for the air ride and the lights and it drops maybe a hair. we drive with everything off and it dies out in about 2-3 minutes. I can post up pictures if they will help. we're completely out of idea's now.
