I have a 2001 Ranger. I've been going through dozens of 10 amp fuses for circuit #3 (airbag, blower, and backup lights). It blows when I shift. I believe the problem is in the steering column. I have removed the steering dash and inspected the wires looking for a short between the shifter mechanism and any wire. I could not see a short. I went so far as to look for sparks or smoke, but couldnt see any. Has anyone had the same problem? I read online a person had a similar problem in a different forum; however, they never got back to me with how they fixed it.
