1st gear thump at acceleration

    I own a 2000 ford ranger edge 3.0 automatic trans with 117,000 miles
    it thumps into 1st gear at takeoff from full stop. any ideas !

  3. Slipping Transmission

    Sounds like your tranny is slipping or has low hydrolic pressure, maybe low on fluid.

    its the slip yoke in the drive shaft, move the rubber boot and lubricate it. Alot of auto rangers have that problem
