    Hola

You ever spend any time on TRS? It's also possible we've run into me elsewhere. I grew up in Dillsburg.

Amazing Grace :: 1988 Ford Bronco II

It's going to be a while. Except for where the pain is damaged around the dings and a spot or two on the roof she is 100% rust free. The truck on the other hand needs stripped to bolts and sand blasted. That is taking priority since I am much more attached to my truck.

    Hola

No problem man. I'm always looking for new ways to keep myself from getting any real work done.

Hillbilly Deluxe :: 1987 Ford Ranger

All but. I think she showed around 10K when dad brought her home and I dutifully claimed the driver's side jump seat as my own. When I got home from work tonight she showed just a hair over 209,000.

Not yet she isn't. For now she is a toy, come June she becomes a kiddie carrier. Once I get the truck done, this is going to be a show level restoration.

    96 ranger 3.0 no compression cyl 1

Fuel wash is when you get too much raw gas into the cylinder, from either a lack of spark, or a leaking injector. It gets into the metal and causes the rings to not seal properly. A minor case will cost you between 5 and 20% and can usually be cleared up by fixing the issue, changing the plug...

    1988 Ranger Air Conditioning??

Well, A/C was an option that year. And not a common one either. The quick and dirty way to tell if it ever had A/C is to look at the climate control head. If it had A/C there will be a button near the middle that says "Air conditioning" and has a little blue light on it. But XLT is just a...

    96 ranger 3.0 no compression cyl 1

A bad valve or messed up plug should show in a leak down test. I don't know how you loose one cylinder from bad valve timing in a pushrod engine, that should be an all or nothing deal there. Rings or fuel wash would be my first suspect. Did you do a wet compression test after the initial and...

Hillbilly Deluxe :: 1987 Ford Ranger

So this form didn't really do this bad boy justice. She started out as an unassuming little Ranger. Manual everything, red vinyl bench, 3.45 gears, FM145 trans (yuck) your basic work truck. Now she is beast. Dana 35, 31-spline limited slip Explorer rear, 4-wheel discs, M5OD/BW1354, cloth...

    Hola

Hi, thought I'd stop in and introduct myself. Some of you guys probably know me already (I've seen a few familiar names already). I'm a 1st Gen Ranger nut. Know the 86 to 88 years inside out, and I know the rest of the years fairly well being a Ford tech.
