LOL.. thank you..I can accept with the first three...I am truly blessed with skills and imagination, and 20yrs of school bus driving:eek: has taught patience, but my physical condition doesn't match a 20 yr old anymore. :)
52 with an artificial heart valve and aorta for those interested....11yr...
Thanks guys,
I have aluminum 16" Mustang wheels for summer use. I would like a set the fits the Lincoln theme a bit better, but for now I have about $150.00 invested in all 4 wheels and tires.
The heating elements are already installed.Just not wired to the timer. I bought stick on elements from...
Finally got a Mazda chrome rear bumper. Not perfect, but I got it for $50.00 so it will do for now.
I got the stainless door handles on. The correct year matching one for the tailgate is in the mail.
I put the chrome mirrors on about 2 weeks ago. The mirror heaters are in but not wired yet....
I got the parts used and put a oem Ford one in. Some trucks are prewired. The wiring is probably the most difficult part. I don't think there are that many needed wires.
Here is an info link.

Some household Scotchpads have soap embedded in them. BAD..
Automotive ones come in different grades.. Most are Finer than the household ones. very fine..ultra fine..etc
I use the automotive grade scotch pads all the time for plastic painting. I doubt that it was the problem.
I have found Bulldog adhesion promoter to work the best. It is designed to use for painting plastics. I use adhesion promoter right on the bare plastic, then the color coat without any...
I can't remember for sure right now. I think it's the hieght of the casting on the transmission that the Hurst bolts onto. The fork on one is a 1/4 longer than the other. Look into the two different Hurst shifter for Rangers. That's it, Hurst's come with a spacer plate that is needed on certain...
If you're going that route, you could mount them both in the bed. It would give a little better weight distribution. It would also simplify the cables. Ground them in the back and run one cable to the starter.
I have done this for the same reason. It is much easier to shift. I ended up with a Hurst shifter. I got one for a F150. It bolts right in and is taller. If you want to do it on the cheap, I would get a stock shifter from an F150. The F150's used the same transmission as the Rangers. You have to...
Never done it, but the trick to open the headlights is stick them in the oven for a short time. I would buy a cheap extra set of headlights and mod those.
If they are strips, then I would drill a hole to slide the strips in, then glue the hole up.
If I remember correctly 95-97 2wd Rangers had only 1 lighter in the bezel. No fog light switch either. Those bezels are harder to find because everyone wants them to mod. I have never seen a stock bezel without at least 1 lighter. They come up on fleabay, but they go up in price compared to...
I went OEM. I used Mustang Mach 500 co axial speakers in the front and high end Lincoln speakers in the back. Got em on fleabay.
I have not bought aftermarket speakers in many many years, so I may be slightly outdated. I was impressed with the fact the OEM ones I chose had the rear of the...
Pull the cluster and examine each bulb. Maybe one is shorted out somehow. Even on new bulbs this happens. It's easy for the wires on wedge bulbs to short out.
Check the wires going to the cluster connectors. Maybe a wire or 2 pulled out of the connector.
