Here's an ad (unfortunately, already sold) showing another step side Edge. If you go through the pics, it shows some good views of how the bed fits on the truck. https://www.swapmotors.com/buy/listing/1/d/5b328cb8cc271e3b6f002054
I don’t believe that just because a Ranger has a stepside bed that it is a Edge. My truck has a stepside and there’s nothing else on the entire truck that would make it a Edge. I wouldn’t see why you couldn’t put either bed on my or your truck frame. The only difference would be any extra supports for the fiberglass bedsides
Interesting. I don't think I've ever seen a Ranger with a stepside that wasn't an Edge. However, my point was that there were stepside beds made for the Ranger. The jist I got from the OP is that he wasn't sure if such a thing existed and that if it did, is it a straight swap between the two. Makes sense that it would be and I think your post proves that, to some degree.
“Edge “ is just a trim pkg, so was “splash” , all splash trucks were stepsides, but not all stepsides were a “splash” pkg. yes, a 6’ styleside bed will interchange with a stepside box. Both are 6’ beds. Also stepsides use same taillight assy, good to know if you’re at a ‘yard in search of taillights.
