I purchased a manual t-case (BW 1354) and I'm looking for a shift lever. I already have the lower shift linkage, so all I need is the upper lever and the ball (if possible) If anybody knows of one in a nearby salvage/junk yard, then I will make it worth your while if you pick it up. Thanks.

TR, I have a T/C Ball, not the one that came with the T/C, but it has been mod’d to fit a Hurst Shifter. If you aren’t stuck on the round stick shift maybe we can talk !? I will think on it and you let me know if you "HAVE TO HAVE" the FX4 look for sure ? ltr
Honestly I'm just worried about finding an upper shift lever. If the balls don't match, then I won't be worried about it. If I find an upper shift arm, then you will be the first person I talk tk about the shifter balls.
What IF … You find or buy a Hurst stick, any length any bend you like, cut and drill it to fit the height you need, me I like a shift lever that is higher so I can sit back and just reach. So find a Hurst Shift Lever that fits you, mod it to attach to the Ford Linkage, not sure how it attaches. Then you are open for any knob that fits the Hurst Stick. And of course my FX4 Knob that has the correct shift pattern in it for the T/C you have and a great look, not to mention it is a Ford Product and the price is right… !?!
That's a good idea. Ill look up some pictures, and see if I can get some measurements of the stock t-case shifter.
Here are some pictures I found… hope that help some. The T/C Lever mounts with a flat plate similar to the Hurst andit bolts on so you can change things up if you don’t like them. Find a used Hurst and give it a go. Dual Hurst Shifters This is where I was going, I have the Trans Hurst but not the manual T/C. oh ya I sold that ! The Atlas II has two levers and they are cables so easier to mount. OR, unless this is what you wanted: the FX4 purest. OH ya, one more thing, are you manual or auto, CRS disease, if manual look in front of the Trans Shifter, you will need one of those covers.
That's awesome. Since I'm manual with a hurst, I might just look for another hurst lever. Thanks for the pictures.
Send me your ideas on what length lever you think you want. I will see what I have in the shop, I know I have the one that came with the Hurst Trans Shifter Kit, I didn’t like the location of the lever so bought a new one. Are you using the Shift Lever that came with your Hurst Kit, see if it will work for the T/C. I was thinking to cut it down a little to the straight section, then drill and mount for the T/C but then I decided it was going to be too short if cut. Wasn’t sure if the stock Hurst bend back was going to work for the T/C but if you have the one that came with the kit check it out. ltr
My hurst is currently on my transmission. Send me a picture of the hurst lever you aren't using when you get a chance. You can send it either here or on RF . com. Thanks.
Lol No problem. And no rush. Shane has a shift lever that he is possibly selling to me. I still might buy your Hurst Grev. That way If I change my mind, ill have both of them.
Taylor, Thought I would balance things out some, don’t want to show favoritism, one site over the other. Here is what I have: The Hurst Stick that came in the Ranger Hurst Conversion Kit and the FX4 Ball, separate but compatible: Height of stick, not length… 11” Mounting Area - Stick is 1” wide at the base, approx 2.25” of straight stick and approx 5/16” thick. Holes are ⅜” dia, spaced ⅞” apart, center of first hole from the bottom end of the stick is approx ⅜”. Stick gets thicker toward the top getting to ⅜” thick. Here they are together so you can see the Ball does fit, it still needs a thin lock nut but the threads are all set and tight: Overall Height to top of Ball is 12”. This is the Shift lever showing the bend, it has a slight bend towards the Driver’s Side, 1.25" and yes the bend toward the seat is approx 5-6", but it could be forward depending on how you mount it: The FX4 Ball: $$$ can’t find these ! The business side of the Ball: drilled and taped for ¼-20 threads, standard Hurst size. So there you have it Taylor, what do you think. The ball should work with any Stick you have or make,IF it has a ¼-20 thread on the ball end. ltr p.s. I haven’t seen “that” (ltr) T-Shirt on the Site yet ?!?
One more thing, remember you might be able to cut the bend off of the Hurst Shifter so it is straight, if there is enough length for you. then mounting it will be easier. Only problem is, it might be hardened… but a good milling machine or a bunch of drills will work.
So you want to see the shirt again? Lol You got it. I think it should work perfectly even with the slight bend. Its all going to be trial and error.
it was going to be the same thing for me. I was going to bolt in the shifter, if the bolt holes lined up, see where it sits, then make a few adjustments. I started out thinking along the lines of cutting it as I have said and making it straight up but then I noticed the position of the lever in the picture with the two hurst shifter and the T/C Shifter is way to far forward for me. As always don’t forget the pictures. ltr
