most auto parts stores should be able to make you a key, or even home depot, lowes, even they might be able to. where i live the home depot's and auto parts stores have key making machines. and usually carry blanks for most vehicles. domestic vehicles anyways. Id try them. just keep in mind, if you have PATS, which i cant recall off the top of my head if 2000's do or not, the spare key WILL NOT start the truck. and will simply only unlock the doors. if you dont have PATS, the spare will also start the truck.
Locksmiths are local companies so that wouldn't fall under members recommendations when we dont know where you are. Your best AND safest bet would be go to the dealer, pay the money and get exact spares made. The dealer may cost more, but if you're looking "good quality", that is where you will find it.
Thinking PATS too… you will need to program the system to accept the new key. IF you need it to start the vehicle that is. Any Locksmith can make you a key for the doors.
When I bought my truck it had only one key...I had another made at the dealer from a Pats key I got on eBay at Wolf Security for about $15 and paid the dealer about $125 to program it then I made just a non-pats key at Wally which I carry in my wallet incase I lock the truck with the key in the ignition...Recently I ordered another Pats key from the same eBay seller and programmed it myself which you can simply do if you have 2 working Pats keys that way if I loose a Pats key I won't have to return to the dealer and pay out the ying yang again for another Pats key...
I thought you could only have two pats preys programmed tô the truck at one time ? I have the two and an extra door key in the wallet.
