when you remove the positive battery cable, the PCM resets, clearing all the trouble codes that triggered your check engine light. you need you drive the truck until the fault happens again to trip the CEL again.

:D test drove it yesturday, picked it up and signed the paper work today. Its a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. 4.6 V8 with 89,600 miles on it for a steal. It was a ex Medical examiners car in New Jersey. Here are some pics. Not sure if my Ranger likes it too much, but we will see.

i couldnt figure out how to get mine off. i ended up getting pissed and enlarged the hole in the fabric to get it off. Don't do that. haha
