Would you believe it was the throttle position sensor. On a whim I thought I would change the tps and it started right up.

Yes it turns over but does not even try to start. When I first got it it would try to start but acted like it was not getting enough fuel. Now it just keeps cranking but that's all.

i have a friend who's ranger i am wrenching on and i cant seem to find whats wrong with it. he said it drove fine till one day it just started running really bad so he parked it and now it wont start at all. i changed the plugs, wires, fuel filter, fuel pump, took the ignition module and tested...

the ignition module on the 91 i am working on is on the driverside of the truck just behind the alternator and above the coil pack on that side. p.s. did you get this fixed yet and if so what was the trouble? i am working on a friends ranger and have similar problems.
