    tranny help weird

Don't think they can be removed as an assembly, remove seperately.

    Not starting. Fuel Pump?

Yes, it could be a relay or other things for that matter. The tank needs to be dropped to gain access to the pump. $1200.00 is very pricey. I think that guy wants to be a lawyer.

2001 Ranger "intake manifold runner stuck open" code

My 4.2L in my F150 has them, best I have been told, under higher power applications they open to provide more air into the system. Like another barrel on a carb. My V-6 has two actuators at the back of the intake to control the runner valves. Would assume the I4 would be similiar, look for...

Fuel line quick connect "tab" broken

Don't have a 94 ranger to look at. Ford has used two types of disconnects. The first sounds like the Escape, metal reuseable clip is removed, garter spring is expanded with use of special tool, and line is removed. The other type was a replaceable plastic retainer, shaped like a U, and was...

    Fuel Tank Replacement

Not really the expert, but would believe the truck is a truck, the larger tank would be form fitted or moulded around this cross member. Ask for a PIC to see the contour of it.

    "Check Engine" Irritation

If this engine is still acting up, I would like to hear more about it. Puttering is what I do best, I putter around the house and garage.

    A?C Compressor burned out

Slow response but yes, clean the IAC, its best to remove it and use cleaner for the job. Check auto parts for the cleaner.

    Ranger spark plugs

Gappless spark plugs, how do they work? Suggest go backwards, like hitting the undue button. See if its any better, if its the same, perhaps a plug wire has gotten damaged. Going back in time some 46 years, here I am a brand new licensed Airframe and Powerplant mechanic. The veterans had a...

    New here...Help?

Syphon hose will remove most, the last bit will blend with the new fuel. Guess you could be high tech and use the electric fuel pump, will have to jumper the fuel relay as key on only runs pump 2-3 seconds until engine fires up, then the relay gets new life from another circuit.

    New here...Help?

By all means get the fuel out of there. Check all fluids for contamination, what engine is this, am assuming its fuel injected if a 4 cylinder, a 6 cylinder, well I geuss thats fuel injected also. Idle speeds are controlled by the IAC, bolted onto the throttle body. Disconnect coil wire and...

    Oil Pressure Gauge

Naturally, take a direct reading gauge to verify engines oil pressure. The oil sending unit is probably going out. Have seen the push on terminal fail and causing a very loose connection.

    A?C Compressor burned out

Yes, unplug it and run engine. It should idle very low, like 400-500RPM. Am hoping someone has jacked with the stop screw and thus the IAC is not maintaining your idle. The screw has only one function and that is to prevent the throttle from sticking or binding in the closed position. Its...

    A?C Compressor burned out

Just to clear things up, disconnect the IAC (idle air control) its bolted to the throttle body. This is the actuator to control idle speeds per the ECU. There is a manual screw on the throttle body (TB), that just presets the throttle opening so no binding occurs. Am thinking someone jacked...
