it's not gonna be that way here the staff will pick 3 finalists. some of the months we will be running contests such as stock, lifted, and lowered. so some months we will have the members vote on 2 stock/lifted/lowered trucks. so its not always the one that has spent the most $$ on their trucks as to give the members that cant spend major $$ on their trucks have a fair shot..

Yes, the contest rules are what they are. We have tried the contest with other types of rules, and like other forums it comes to a personality contest as far as who is liked more, or an opinionated contest where the majority of member may prefer lifted trucks. This type of contest eliminates both of those where the staff can decide that each seperate month can consist of specific, yet similar trucks to vote on. We like to have a contest where each month will not consist of the most modded truck being nominated or winning. This way, it gives ALL members a fair shot in the contest whether they are stock, dropped, lifted or vintage.

1994 Ford Ranger Super Cab 4x4 (custom built show truck)

Year: 1994

Model: Ford Ranger SuperCab 4x4

Mileage: 40K miles

Options: Power everything, cruise, tilt, sliding rear window, 4.0 L V6 automatic

Modifications:
The Truck has the following:
-4.0 Liter, V-6 with only 40K miles
-6" Skyjacker suspension lift
-3.5" body lift
-Rancho Ladder bars
-Custom paint job with diamond plate and flames
-Shaved handles, locks, tail lights and 3rd brake light
-Hood scoop molded into factory hood
-Custom roll pan with led tail lights
-Painted frame/suspension
-Stainless steel exhaust (Borla) with SS Hedmen headers
-Stainless brake and fuel lines
-35" Nitto Mud Grappler Tires
-20" Chrome Helo Maxx Rims
-Rocford Fosgate sound system (amps, 15" subs, and 2 sets of 6.5 components/tweeters)
-Leather bucket seats
-Billet flame steering wheel, APC gauges
-Neon lights and mirrors in the carpeted bed

I bought this truck used and after driving it for a year decided to start detailing it for auto shows. Well after another 2 years, I decided to go big, taking the entire truck apart and rebuilding it from the frame up. I don't have a shop, rather I did this as a hobby in my spare time, this is the only vehicle I've ever done, so although it took quite some time, I'm proud of the work. There was great attention to detail, I didn't take one clip or bolt and throw it back on the truck without either painting, polishing, using SS, etc.

Just copy the URL and put it in the contest garage link portion. If you have any issues, put the entry in and I can throw the link in there

Looking at your big 4 litre 4x4 Rangers... timidly I include the "white" in the contest.

Description:
This is my second vehicle, second ranger. My first one was a 95xlt 2wd 2.3l 5speed.
Got this 99 3.0 with 118K on it and 2 yrs later at 128K i had a faulty fuel injector cause a spark plug to detonate damaging the cylinder/piston. Spent about $3500 to have a new engine put in. Then about 4 yrs later my reverse band in my tranny snapped, had to spend another $1900 to have it rebuilt. Also have spent over $1000 in brakes and rear axle work.
I picked up another truck, a white 98 xlt 3.0 ext cab 4x4 for $500 that has a bad motor, got a good motor and tranny for it for $400. Will be putting that into it this summer and this white ranger will become my daily driver and winter beater, and my red 99 will be my project fun truck..

So as you can see..my truck has changed alot...and more changes in the future...
I have spent way too much money over the years on this truck... and i dont plan to ever sell it....
I don't have aton of money to throw at it all at once... this has been many years of slowly evolving..since i got the truck in April 2004..til now.
I hope i get selected for the finalists!

oh heres pics of my tranny torn apart for the rebuild:
