Yesterday my ABS system starting engaging during routine braking. While it did that the ABS light came on, but when I turn the truck off, the light goes off. Now today the ABS comes on every time I brake and the light stays on once again til I turn the truck off. Any ideas what could be causing this? Sensor maybe?

  3. I have heard before that if you disconnect the battery for an hour and do not start the vehicle durring that hour it will reset the abs computer if there was a glich , might try that or look for a wire pinched at the sensor at the wheels

I am thinking its the fron driver side sensor, I think the hub may be bad as well too

I'll take a look at them. I have to look into the warranty on the hubs I got last year though

I dont see what the difference would be with going up to 35's from 33's on that one. I guess I will wait and see once its torn apart

Took it apart today, turns out the centric sensors CAN be removed. I swapped sensors, put it back together and so far so good except on hard left turns, while braking it feels like the ABS kicks in a little. Other than that, seems ok, gotta run it a little more and see what happens.

after looking into it and consults from people familiar with it, I believe it to be the start of a bad hub.

    You don't have hubs... you're 2wd.

You have spindles and bearings... repack your front wheel bearings and you should be fine for a few thousand more miles.

check your tone rings, and fluid level, and rust build up between the sensor and hub

Yeah I think the tone ring is shot. I had to order new hubs today
