Not installed yet but it will be the first thing to do NEXT, where on the list is that !

    Pioneer AVIC 120T Nav Unit
Pioneer 6.5” Component speakers for the front w/amp
    Pioneer 10” Shallow Sub w/amp
Sub Box, cheapy from SonicElectronix but sized for the 10” Sub.
May also install or return… Pioneer 6x8s, depending on the overall sound of the system.
All new wiring for power, interconnects and speaker.

I have never done this type of up grade before, first full system but looking forward to the new sounds.
Truck has BeQuiet over the floor and back wall but not the roof or door yet.

Oh ya and all stuffed in a Std Cab.

A question if someone can answer it… how far apart can the Tweeter be from the 6.5 Mid Ranger in the front speakers ?

Does anybody have a single din flip up or flip down dvd receiver?
I'd like to see some pics of how they look when opened & how much room the screens take up when open... like do they completely block the air vents when the head unit is installed in the lower position?

buggman, i just got one for mine, it blocks about 3/4 of the vents but you can close the screen and music still plays which is a good thing.

id put up pictures to show you but im new and havn't figured out how to yet

    Thanks!

To post pics, you can use pretty much any image hosting site, I like photobucket, just upload your pics there & copy the IMG code & paste it into your message.

I saw a single din last night that had an 8"+ screen, biggest in dash screen I've seen. It was a no-name brand though.

It would be nice to have a jumbo sized screen like that but I'd hate to lose my vents... I gotta keep cool

My stuff is pretty old but it works well and I really like it.

The HU is an Alpine. Please note the center channel speaker under the ashtray

This HU is a media player only, it has no CD player. So I needed a place for the iPod. The mic is for the Bluetooth.

This is both monitors, the center is currently displaying diagnostics

The ashtray was replaced with a DVD player, but will be replaced with a video iPod soon. The new modified ashtray has already been made

The truck has three amps in it.

The four Channel Kennwood powers the subwoofer and the door speakers

The small Kenwood (yes I know its a Sony) powers the Tweeters

    and here are the tweeters

and finally the amp for the centerchannel speaker

Anyway, thats my system. Most of the equipment has been in the truck for more than 7-years. The HU is the newest piece.

    Looks nice!
Was that kick panel space already that size for your amp or did you fab up a new housing for the amp?

The 93 and 94 Ranger Kick Panels are deep enough. Only minor mods need to be done to install an amp. A factory ground has to be moved and a couple wires have to be moved up. But no problem.

Making the Kick Panel is not a difficult process.
