  1. the 4.0 auto can handle that as the spec shows 6000 pounds for a 97 and DO NOT TRY TO USE A BUMBER HITCH hopefully you have a classIII rec. 2" otherwise dont even try it. trailer brakes is what you should be worried about!!!! do you have trailer brakes and a 7 pin trailer plug?

  3. Do you know what the weight of the bronco is? is it the little bronco II or full size?
if full size my guess is that is around 5000 pounds itself, plus a trailer, I dont think I would do it. cause your trailer should be about 1200 pounds you would be pushing it.

So I would say no after thinking more about the variables and not knowing all the facts

I have the class III rec. However the trailer brakes and plug I'm not sure about. The trailer ain't ours, we're borrowing it from a friend. So I gotta see.

All I know is that it's an 83. I believe it is a full size. I really don't want to do it. The Jeep I'm fine with, the Bronco not really. We might just haul the Jeep there and end up driving the Bronco back.

buggman Do not touch the trim!

I'd say it would be pushing it to or past its limits.
If you can't borrow a full size truck, you could probably rent one for not too much for just a couple days.
