Just got home. Watched my buddy's 1500 snap a 50k lb chain when hooking up to another guy's truck. It was awesome. Hahaha.
lol holy balls! that **** can be freaky! i was at my friends watching ppl mudding one time and a guy with a 04 powerstroke backed up to the stuck trucks bumper and floored it with like a 25ft chain it it came apart and flew over the truck!!
oh well thats good pete, i like those straps better since they have a little give. lol no kidding, my grandpas just putting a winch on his trailer lol
Im not tryin to start an argument (which seems to be happening lately) but how do you snap a winch cable? The only way I can see that happening is if you put an undersized winch on your truck
Weaknesses in the line, more stress than it was designed for, defects, etc. And I know man, I'm not either. But any metal strings of anything isn't exactly safe. You're better off getting a winch with a nylon strap rather than steel cable.
